Known for its amazing views of Kauna‘oa Bay, Kauna‘oa Bar & Grill at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel recently underwent a complete transformation in name, design, concept and menu. The restaurant space reopened at the end of 2015 with a new concept and a diverse menu of sophisticated classics and imaginative contemporary cuisine.
Copper Bar offers creative, casual cuisine with an international influence. For those looking to add a few libations to the meal, the bar’s resident mixologists can create memorable beverage pairings for any dish. New to the restaurant is a unique beverage-dispensing system for craft cocktails, beer and wine.
While the views of the bay are the centerpiece of the dining experience, art informs the modern ambiance at Copper Bar. Marine rope hangs in a wall-sized mural and O‘ahu artist Solomon Enos continues the legacy of original art at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel with his triptych entitled “Kauna‘oa.” Even the large copper plate from the original bar was re-purposed for the new space. The new Copper Bar is 4,000 square feet of fresh cuisine, lively beverages and legendary views.
