Home to the second-largest commercial port and the largest industrial park in the state—not to mention one of the fastest-growing college campuses in the country—Kapolei has welcomed a slew of new attractions that have drastically altered the identity and landscape of West O‘ahu. Here are two developments promising to bring even more action to this formerly sleepy master-planned community 20 miles outside of Honolulu.

An extension of Kapolei Business Park, a fully developed 130-acre industrial park in Leeward, O‘ahu, Kapolei Business Park Phase 2 is a master-planned 54-acre industrial park consisting of 24 lots ranging in size from under an acre to roughly four-and-a-half acres. Lots have been on the market from October 2015; the remaining six lots are immediately available for sale, lease or built to suit. Backbone infrastructure for various utilities is in place for users to connect to their individual utility agencies.

The Kapolei Mixed-Use Development consists of three components built in three phases, all located on approximately three acres of vacant land in downtown Kapolei. The first phase will be made up of 154 affordable senior rental units with ground-floor retail spaces. Phase two will add a second 13-story tower with additional ground-floor retail space and 143 affordable and market-rate condominium units. The third phase will round out the site with a single-story streetfront retail building.
